建築も今や、建築雑誌以外でも取上げられるくらい親しみやすいものになりました。建築業に従事していない方の中にも、インテリアが大好きな人や新築物件を建てる際に勉強したなど、プロ顔負けの知識をお持ちの方も多数いらっしゃいます。そこで当サイトではより建築を楽しんでいただけるよう建築を多角的に捉え様々な角度から紹介したいと思います。
当サイトの第２の目的は、これは第１の目的と言っても過言ではないのですが、若手建築家の台頭です。実は、建築家は５０才代ではまだ若手です。大卒なんて素人とイコールの扱いを受けます。小さな建築事務所では労働基準法なんてお構いなし、土日勤務当たり前、深夜残業当たり前、会社泊当たり前。この労働時間から算出する時給は100%最低賃金を下回ります。月１５万もらえれば御の字の世界です。では相当経験が積めるのかと言えばそれも否。『若いから』というだけで。確かに経験も必要でしょう。しかし、いい年のお爺さんがいつまでも上にいてはいつまでたっても、若手は経験が積めません。ご存知のように建築家には定年がありません。そこで、昨今台頭しているWebの力でこの泥沼を少しでも脱却できればと思っています。

A scene from the UK series Night & Day (2001-2003). The main plot revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a local femme fatale, Jane Harper (Georgina Walker), on her 16th birthday. Even though we only learn of Jane's fate near the end, she pops up in flashbacks and visions thoughout the series. Jane's disappearance affects everyone in the neighbourhood, most of all her best friend Della Wells (Stephanie Leonidas). At the start of the show, the two girls seemed as different as possible: while Jane was confident and bitchy, Della was shy, innocent and insecure, and accustomed to living in Jane's shadow. But after her best friend disappears, Della is shocked by things she learns about Jane's secret life - lovers, an abortion... But she also finds herself changing. Things are further complicated because she finds herself drawn to Jane's boyfriend, Josh (Seb Castang). In this scene (omnibus episode 145-146-147, ITV on 10 October 2002), Della is having visions of Jane - or rather, two different Janes, embodiments of two sides of her personality. Sorry for the problems with the picture - it's a VHS rip. :(
